Eh. The food is basic, no frills, which I personally like. However, I know that doesn't appeal to everyone.
They always have an A rating, but something about this location just feels... Dirty.
The servings are huge and drinks quickly refilled. Service is fine. I've never had a rude or slow server.
I'm not sure what it is about this place, but for some reason we keep coming back for more. A solid 3 stars. -

My Dad and cousin had a great experience at this location while they were passing through Kentucky. My wife and I decided to give this location another try based on their experience. We were seated right away and given chips and salsa and water to drink immediately by the person that sat us. Our waiter was a different story, once we asked for another minute to decide it was more like 10, it seemed like he wanted nothing to do with us, I watched him go from the few tables that he had and skip ours several times. The food while very basic was a huge amount and this is the only reason this establishment got a second star from my experience. I'm not sure if I'll return to this location, however, if I do it won't be at my request.

Ate here Saturday night with the wife and a friend. DO NOT attempt to drive thru this parking lot unless you are in a 4-wheel drive, a semi, tank, or dropped in from a helicopter. Seriously, it's a shared lot, but it's the worse parking lot I've ever been in. They should pay to have their area paved, or complain to the owners of the lot. You could lose a child in the holes. All jokes aside if you're not careful you could damage your car.
Who hasn't ate at El Nopal?!? Everyone has. It's usually good Mexican food, and you can find one of these places almost as well as a McDonalds. Louisville is saturated with them. This place was packed Saturday night.
Food was just...average. Wasn't real pleased. It came out extremely fast and the place was packed, but my meal felt rushed. It was luke warm. We were visiting with a friend so I just picked at it. Waitress was great.
Might have just been an off night because usually you can get a descent meal from an El Nopal. I definitely would consider other locations because the parking lot is dangerous, and it's not worth damaging your vehicle.
**I have spoken with someone from El Nopal regarding their lot. They're concerned about it as well, and states their landlord should have it fixed in the very near future** -

Uhhh it was my friends fucking birthday and they opted to not wish him a happy birthday, so ok el nopal, alright. Other than that the food was pretty good, so five stars there.

Service here was horrible, waited a long time for more chips, drink was empty for awhile & it took a very long time to get the food. They wasn't even busy so the wait shouldn't have been that long.
